What a tax invoice has to show

A tax invoice is evidence of one sale. Its number, dates, seller, buyer, items, tax and total have to tell the same story as the books.

The required information

A4 and 80mm are the same bill

Purja can print the issued document on A4 or an 80mm thermal roll. The narrow slip changes the arrangement, not the figures or invoice number. Both use Bikram Sambat and AD dates. The A4 version leaves more room for buyer and payment details.

What COPY means

The first printing is the original issue. Purja counts tax invoice printings, so every printing after the first is marked COPY. Reprinting does not create a new invoice and cannot change the numbers.

A correction is not an edit. If an issued tax invoice is wrong, make a credit note or cancel and reissue where the rules allow. The original stays in the audit trail.

See the IRD's published tax invoice format. Ask your tax office about any additional field that applies to your trade.

Print one of your own.

Use a real customer, a real item and both print sizes. Purja is free.
